Overriding AI Forecasts Manually

Manual Forecast Overrides

InvenPro's AI generates demand forecasts automatically. However, you may need to override the system when you have information it doesn't — such as a promotional campaign or a new contract.

When to Override

• You have a confirmed large order not yet in the system
• A promotion will spike demand next month
• A supplier has extended lead times (reduce forecast)
• A product is being discontinued (zero out future forecast)

How to Override

1. Go to Forecasting → Demand Forecast
2. Search for the product
3. Click the forecast value → enter your override quantity
4. Enter a reason (required for audit trail)
5. Click Save Override

Override Log

All overrides are recorded in Forecasting → Override Log with: who made the change, original system value, override value, reason, and date. Managers can review and approve overrides in this view.

Override Expiry

Overrides apply for the period you specify. After expiry, the system reverts to AI-generated values automatically.
