ABC Velocity Band Classification
InvenPro automatically classifies your SKUs into velocity bands based on sales frequency. This helps you prioritize where to focus your inventory investment.
The 4 Bands
| Band | Description | Typical % of SKUs | Action |

| A | High velocity — fast movers | ~20% | Always in stock, high safety stock |
| B | Medium velocity — regular movers | ~30% | Standard reorder policies |
| C | Low velocity — slow movers | ~30% | Lean stock, order on demand |
| D | Dead stock — no movement | ~20% | Review for clearance or disposal |
How InvenPro Calculates Bands
The system analyses 90-day sales history for each SKU. Products with the highest 30-day and 90-day sales volume are classified as Band A. The classification recalculates automatically each week.
Using Bands to Set Reorder Points
- Go to Products → Velocity Bands
- Filter by Band A — these are your priority items
- Click Apply Reorder Policies to auto-set safety stock based on average daily demand × lead time
