Doing a Stock Count (Physical Inventory)

Running a Physical Stock Count

A stock count reconciles your actual warehouse stock with InvenPro's system records. Run it monthly or quarterly to catch discrepancies.

Step 1 — Create a Stock Count

  1. Go to Warehouse → Stock Count
  2. Click + New Stock Count
  3. Select: Warehouse, Date, and Count Type (Full or Selected Categories)
  4. Click Generate Count Sheet

Step 2 — Count Your Stock

InvenPro generates a count sheet with all products. Enter the actual quantity counted for each item. You can also use the Mobile WMS app to scan barcodes and record counts directly on your phone.

Step 3 — Review Variances

After entering counts, InvenPro shows the variance (System Qty vs Counted Qty). Items with a difference are highlighted.

Step 4 — Post Adjustment

  1. Review all variances
  2. Add a reason for each adjustment (Damaged, Lost, Found, Data Entry Error)
  3. Click Post Adjustment — stock is updated immediately

A full audit log records who performed the count, what was adjusted, and when.
