Managing Product Variants (Size, Color, Grade)

Product Variants in InvenPro

A variant lets you track multiple versions of the same product under one parent SKU. Common use cases: different sizes, colors, grades, or pack sizes.

Example

Parent product: V-Belt
Variants: A42, A44, B42, B44 — each with its own stock level and price.

Creating Variants

1. Go to Products → Product Catalog → open the parent product
2. Click the Variants tab
3. Click + Add Variant
4. Enter: Variant Name/Code, Barcode, Cost Price, Selling Price
5. Click Save

Stock Tracking

Each variant has its own stock count. When creating a Purchase Order or Sales Order, select the specific variant.

Barcode per Variant

Assign a unique barcode to each variant. Use the barcode scanner in the Mobile WMS app to identify the correct variant during picking and packing.
